Fucked Up’s Future Uncertain

The future of Fucked Up is uncertain, after rumors that lead vocalist Damien Abraham is considering quitting the band due to the rigors of touring. In an interview over at Spinner, the singer hasn’t stopped the rumours of his departure. “I don’t want to say I’ve been teasing it, in a way,”says Abraham. “But I’ve been talking about it a lot because I don’t want to take away these five other people’s livelihoods.”

“I can’t tour anymore,” Abraham continued. “I don’t want to take that away from them, so I would love to find a way to basically make it into a constantly evolving thing where sometimes Fucked Up can go on tour and other times, it’s another band involved with us.”

Damon Albarn Says Blur Have Been Recording

According to an interview done with NME and as reported on their website, Damon Albarn has said that Blur have made up recently and have been recording. The band recorded a spoken word piece with poet Michael Horovitz as a response to the threat of the Notting Hill Carnival being cancelled. “If they’d have cancelled the carnival – and thank God they didn’t – maybe we’d have put it out.
