New: Kanye West, Jay-Z & Big Sean-‘Clique’

I’m pretty sure Kanye has never made a bad beat. It’s amazing how he can create such layers and an attractive beat to all his stuff. The lyrics have the usual humour. “Ate breakfast at Gucci/ My girl a superstar all from a home movie” raps Yeezy. Loved that. Jay and Sean are understated here, but its still a beast of a tune.

The Top Ten Albums Of 2011: Number 8

Number 8: Jay-Z & Kanye West-Watch The Throne

When it was announced that Jay and Kanye were recording an album together, we knew for the most part what to expect. That did not make it any less compelling however. The huge samples produced by Yeezy, the A-list guests including Beyonce, Justin Vernon, Frank Ocean and Mr. Hudson, lyrics about their obscene wealth and the supreme flow of Hov in particular. Both guys bring pretty much their A-games, which makes this one of the best Hip-Hop records all year.

The Top 20 Tracks Of 2011 Number: 5

Number 5: Jay-Z & Kanye West-Niggas In Paris

‘Watch The Throne’ sums up Jay-Z and Kanye West perfectly. Obscene wealth, hot girls, serious rhymes and the eclectic beats you would expect from a ‘Yeezy’ production. ‘Niggas In Paris’ has all of these in abundance. As ‘Hova’ spits out “So I ball so hard mothafuckas wanna fine me first niggas gotta find me/whats 50 grand to a mothafucka like me can you please remind me.” The track features a sample out of ‘Blades Of Glory’ and the Reverend W.A. Donaldson recording ‘Baptizing Scene’, typical of Kanye’s versatile pallet.

Rihanna has sampled The xx for her new album ‘Talk That Talk’. The track titled  ‘Drunk On Love’ samples ‘Intro’ by the English band. To hear a thirty second leak, go over to Popjustice.
