Number 8: Jay-Z & Kanye West-Watch The Throne

When it was announced that Jay and Kanye were recording an album together, we knew for the most part what to expect. That did not make it any less compelling however. The huge samples produced by Yeezy, the A-list guests including Beyonce, Justin Vernon, Frank Ocean and Mr. Hudson, lyrics about their obscene wealth and the supreme flow of Hov in particular. Both guys bring pretty much their A-games, which makes this one of the best Hip-Hop records all year.

Number 18: Beyonce-Run The World

The first time I heard this track blasting out of the radio, I mistook the intro for something by Deadmau5 or Skrillex. Within thirty seconds Beyonce was belting out that now famous chorus “Who Runs The World, Girls!” The massive beat and huge chorus which Misses-Z aggressively yelps, showed a side to B that we did not think existed. Mainly Dominant.

Jay-Z Says Their May Be A Watch The Throne Sequel

In an interview with MTV, Jay-Z has said that there may well be a sequel to his and Kanye West’s album ‘Watch The Throne.’ He also said that they both might be putting out solo albums too, as they are in “a great place creatively.” Hov said  “You might see a Jay, a Kanye, and a Throne album next year. We really found our zone.” He also announced two benefit shows for his foundation in Carneige Hall, New York City. You can watch the interview and the video for their track ‘Otis’ below:
