I have to say that the new Grizzly Bear record is my favourite of the year so far. It has everything you would want from the lads, with sweeping guitar riffs and mysterious lyrics. my two personal favourites on the album are ‘Yet Again’ and ‘Gun Shy’. it’s a brilliant album which lives up to their three previous efforts and surpasses them in my opinion.
Here’s the first preview of the Kanye West led G.O.O.D. Music album, ‘Cruel Summer’. Its disappointing that there is no Frank Ocean, but I digress. The stuff I’ve heard from this already is top rate.
MMOTHS has been pretty quiet in the last little bit, but I’m glad to say Jack’s back with some new music. This track is a bit more uptempo and has a club vibe. It really is as breathtaking as all his music is though. I can’t stress how good this is. This was done for an Annie Mac mixtape and its awesome.
Two years on and I still play this album so much. This is possibly my favourite track from it.
Now this I really like. I wasn’t sure about the first new xx track, but I love the second one released ‘Chained’. It feels like a real progression. Its a similar sound that we’re familiar with, but it is more refined and tight. The vocals are smooth. But of course its Jamie xx’s beats always do it for me. What an incredible talent this guy is.

‘Yet Again’. Never has there been a more apt title for a Grizzly Bear tune. Because yet again they’ve produced a fantastic track, which heightens the expectancy for another fantastic album. This is what the lads sound like when they are going for a straight up rock effort. Razor sharp guitars and smooth vocals. Love this.

The xx are back with a new album, tour and this new track, ‘Angels’. It is the opening song on their second LP ‘Coexist’, out September 10th over here. It is nothing majorly new from them, the same dark and tender sound. But that is not a bad thing, because their sound is just so fantastic. I expect the album to be a lot more groundbreaking.

The video for Purity Ring’s awesome new single Fineshrine is online. Really love this track, it is a slice of electro pop that enters the same territory as Grimes.
Here is the latest track from the G.O.O.D Music record from Kanye and Pusha T. It has trademark West beats, and Yeezy and Pusha kill it as usual. It will be interesting to see what form the record takes shape. This might be my favourite of the new tunes released so far.

I am well late on this, but I have to write about it. ‘Sleep Alone’ by Chapel Club. I honestly haven’t listened to them much, but this bad boy is a groovy, uplifting tune. Hip-hop style drums accompany dreamy guitars and flickering electronica. This is an unusual direction to take for an Indie band from England, but this is great.
